The mountain of Ararat became increasingly popular thanks to the legend of the Noah’s Ark. It seems there must be thousands of tourists and pilgrims all the year round in the Armenian Highlands. Actually, it used to be until the recent times but since 2016 Ararat was announced as a restricted military zone.
