Everest Base Camp (EBC)

To contemplate the mountain, it’s not necessary to climb the very summit. Trekking to the Everest Base Camp is the most popular route overlooking the highest peak on the planet. The way goes by the Nepalese side through the wilderness of the Sagarmatha National Park. On the way, you might meet predators, such as snow leopard, musk deer, black bears! However, they shouldn’t discourage you! The trek is very popular so these wild animals are usually more afraid of you then you might be of them. Moreover, the trek is absolutely attainable for tourists without advanced climbing experience. You can walk from guest house to the next guesthouse where you can taste traditional dhal bath, see Buddhist gompas and meet real Nepalese hospitality. If your bag is too heavy, hire friendly Sherpas to carry it along the way. This service costs $10-20. Don’t forget to get permits in Kathmandu beforehand. It’s mandatory for every climber for their safety. If Everest beckons you as well as the other mountain climbers, go to take a selfie with the legendary background!
